Skye Wilson is a native of Des Moines, IA, and raised in Dallas, TX. Before moving, Skye started dancing at the young age of 3 and started competing at just 5 years old. After moving to Texas at 7, she trained at Power House of Dance, where she competed on the technical and hip-hop teams. Later, she moved to Centre for Dance, where she competed on the hip hop team “Remixx” directed by Camille Thompson and assisted by Gaia Harrison. She is trained in many styles such as Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Hip Hop, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Afro styles.

Skye began teaching at the age of 13. She started by assisting teachers in beginner hip-hop, ballet, and jazz classes and later progressed to leading her own. Throughout her junior and senior years, she began working at iDanz Performing Arts Studio while competing on their competitive team, “Vizual Content.” After graduating, she was promoted to Assistant Director of the competitive team. She led the dancers to success with award-winning choreography! She has also choreographed for Plano West Senior High School’s West Dance Company as well as their drill team! Even though dancing is her first love, Skye gains the same amount of happiness choreographing and teaching! It warms her heart to lead dancers who share her passion.
