Dancing since age two and acting since age four, Kelli has taken her love for performing to the stage (numerous plays and musicals including lead roles with Riverside High School’s award-winning theatre program as “Iris” in Fame and “Degas Dancer” in an adapted version of Degas C’est Moi), and film (Hal Leonard video, Jason Michael Carroll music video, Good Morning America), all the way to the National Football League as a member of the Carolina Panthers cheerleading squad. As a child, Kelli was a competitive dancer, gymnast, cheerleader, and soccer player in addition to performing in plays and musicals across the state of North Carolina. In college, Kelli was captain of the varsity cheerleading squad at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill where she performed and competed at the National level (UCA and NCA Nationals, NCAA Tournaments). She remained involved in dance by serving as choreographer for high school musicals including Godspell and A Chorus Line and working as a head instructor for Spirit Xpress teaching cheerleading, dance, and tumbling to children across the nation. While completing her graduate course work, she danced for the Carolina Panthers for 6 seasons, served as a 4-year captain and was recognized as Dancer of the Year (2009) and Pro Bowl Cheerleader (2010). She has taught recreational and competitive dance at studios in North Carolina and Missouri where her competition dance routines have been recognized nationally for exceptional concept, performance, choreography, and costuming. Kelli considers the art of dance to be healing and therapeutic; she enjoys sharing her passion for dance with children and adolescents and looks forward to beginning her dance journey in the state of Texas at The Dance Movement.
